Yulia Brodskaya is an artist, born in Moscow (Russia), now based in the UK. She used to be interested in various practices like textile painting, origami, collage and fine art.
After she did an MA in Graphic Communication at the University of Hertfordshire, she experimented with her various interests. She combined the ones she liked most which includes typography, paper and highly detailed hand-made craft objects.
The technique used to make these pieces of art is called paper quilling, also known as paper filigree, paper scrolling or paper rolling.
With this innovative way of using paper to create illustrations she earned a reputation and now creates highly detailed paper designs for clients all over the world.
