Women, guns, bunny ears, fauna and flora run amok in the cityscapes and set pieces filling Kazuki Takamatsu’s ethereal black-and-white painted world.
These two dimensional representations of a three dimensional world full of chaos and suggestiveness are painted in gouache utilising a technique Kazuki calls “depth map” whereby shades of grey are laid down corresponding to the exact depth of the pixel portrayed.
