Christopher Locke, also known under his alias Heartless Machine, is an artist based in Austin, Texas (USA). He has done some very creative projects from which I would like to show you a selection of.

Scissor Spiders

The Transportation Security Administratio (TSA) is confiscating dangerous objects of people before boarding a flight all over the USA. Among these objects are guns and knives but also scissors. Christopher Locke has turned these confiscated scissors into spiders. Although most people don’t like spiders, I think you can appreciate those anyway!

Trrrrrumpet

“Trrrrrumpet” is a playable horn made from salvaged parts from at least six different instruments. The two valve bodies can be played independently or simultaneously, as it is a two-handed unit. The right hand plays the larger valves, and the left hand plays the smaller valves.

Modern Fossils

These are modern fossils. The objects used were technologies that were once cutting edge but have had very short lives due to the fast progression of technology. So now, not even a hundred years later they are modern fossils.
