Marshall Bock‘s more recent design work contains illustrated icons of game controllers.
The concept is awesome. The controllers range from gaming systems back in 1972, and extend all the way to present day. His portfolio statement challenges you to “name them all.”
Bock is a user interface designer at Google, and he currently resides in the San Fransisco area of sunny California. We can all hope that more of this pixelated icon style continues as it remains to be a big part of our partially lost technological history.
The following posts are chronological. How many of these controllers do you remember?
