Achieving Your Goals

×

There are not many tips I can give you on this, a handbook with do’s and don’ts.
Actually, this is all a mental process. It’s all in your character: whether you are a goal seeker, or someone who prefers to stick in their comfort zone and daydream.

Achieving a big goal often involves a risk

Like most people know; if you want your goals to come true, you should start small.
Rome wasn’t built in one day. Meaning, if you would like to build a successful agency, it is best to first gain experience by joining an agency as an employee, look at the good, the bad and observe when mistakes happen and how they are resolved.

Achieving a big goal often involves a risk, you need to leave the comfort zone you are currently in and take a step further, without really knowing what exactly you are throwing yourself into or how things will eventually work out.

You can never really know how things are going to work out, but thinking on the negative side is not going to help you achieve any goal.

Not many people are able to leave things behind for something unknown. That is why they are usually not achieving their goals.
But ask yourself this: If you would not achieve this goal, would it turn into a regret?
Most likely it will.

Did you know that Johnny Depp dropped out of school when he was 15 with the hopes of becoming a rockstar?

What I am trying to tell you is that sometimes in life you should take a risk (while you may not have many responsibilities to deal with yet).
Take the opportunities that are lying in front of you instead of staying where you are and just go for it.

Everyone who has ever built a successful career had to deal with the ‘leave the comfort zone’ part.
Did you know that Johnny Depp dropped out of school when he was 15 with the hopes of becoming a rockstar?
Dropping out of school involved the risk and he is now one of the most successful actors in the world, but also a producer and a musician.
Eventually he got where he wanted to be.

If an obstacle comes up, look for a solution rather than see it as a downfall.

It is because you are going after things, often things will not come directly to you (probably because you’re one of the 7 billion people).

If you want to leave your office job because you think you will be happier being a freelancer, do so. If you would like to move to the other side of the world because you feel you belong there more, do so. If you feel college isn’t working out for you anymore and you rather want to work, do so.
Only when you go for it, you know if it’s working out or not.
If an obstacle comes up, look for a solution rather than see it as a downfall.
If it doesn’t work out, know that it will lead you to something else and you will gain more wisdom.
It’ll bring you a step further to where you eventually want to be.

Achieving your goals involve leaving your comfort zone, a lot of motivation, faith and the will power to make it come true.
