Arne Quinze seems a man obsessed by the fine balance between order and chaos. His body of work is quite diverse but his wood-based architectural sculptures best exemplify this balance. The complexity and scale of these instalments is incredible.
According to his website ‘Recurring fundamentals in his oeuvre are the use of multiple types of wood, including salvaged wood; electrical colors in fluorescent paint; and themes referring to social interaction, communication, and urbanism.’
Arne very openly shows his ‘studies’ where he creates miniature but equally complex models of his installations before he begins creating the full-size versions. One can only imagine the amount of logistics and planning that goes into each piece of his installations.
I would definitely encourage you to take the time to look through Arne’s website
