I was travelling through a city. I must have been in an open vehicle because I could see around me without any obstruction. Or maybe I was floating, I really can't say because I didn't look down. It was a large city. I had the feeling that I was on an expressway, not a street inside the city. On an expressway, you are not inside a city but are on the outskirts usually and can see farther.

The architecture of the buildings was unusual (Baroque?). The buildings were clean and new looking but they had decorations on top. Kind of like lanterns, metal and glass. They made me feel proud. I passed one of them and knew that it had been damaged and was pleased to see that it had been rebuilt better than before. That made me think that the decorative design was a relatively new thing in this city.  There was a lot of detail in this dream.

I was moving northward, uphill, and my view was towards the east.  The sun was going down as I moved and the buildings were reflecting an golden orange glow. It was beautiful. As I moved, the sunlight moved with me and lit up the tops of the buildings. I looked farther east, at a large hill. There was a residential section of the city, climbing up the slope of the hill.  Lots of single story houses with big yards. I didn't see any streets among the houses.  Maybe the residents didn't use cars?

Sometime after this, I arrived at my home. I lived in an apartment. It was part of a row of apartments, connected, that stretched north and south, maybe 10 or 15 apartment units. They faced towards the east, but on the west side they were built into a hill and had no windows on that side.

I felt very happy there, but I wonder: There was at least one damaged building in the city and my apartment was built into the side of a hill. Was the hill sort of a bunker? How did the building in the city get damaged?

Unfortunately, I woke up too soon or forgot the rest. I feel that this city was a real place. I had a pretty good feeling the rest of the day because of this dream.
