We live in The Digital Revolution

In a time where everyone believes they can be a designer, a musician and an author of the next best seller, it’s hard to stand out.

While talent was rare fifty years ago and not many people had access to the technology we have now or the ones that did were wealthy, it is different today. Everyone has access and the search for talent becomes harder. Now the kid next door from 12 years old can access technology and the internet and can make a musical piece within an hour compared to fifty years ago which may have taken years to complete.

They say now that technology comes first, then the artist.
We live in a creative revolution, where you do not have to go to school and get a degree to understand how the camera or creative programs like Photoshop works. In fact, a lot of successful people are self taught and schools are falling behind on how fast technology is changing (and are too stubborn to admit).

This changes everything. The industry is dead. There has never been a better time to be an artist – Seth Godin

We live in a time where we depend on technology and sometimes forget that there is a thing like craft, going a step backward and just sketching on paper for example.

But does democratized culture mean better art or is true talent instead drowned out? This is the question addressed by PressPausePlay, a documentary film containing interviews with some of the world’s most influential creators of the digital era.

An amazing documentary that speaks about the modern day of creativity.

When technology becomes abundant, Content takes center stage. We all have the tools, but do we have the mind of a builder.
